 I am very impressed. Car feels stronger and shifts MUCH better. Just what I expected. I haven’t put very many miles on it since I got it back but right now I’m very happy!! I will post some more long term results after a few more miles and a mpg check. I would recommend them to anyone interested in a mail order tune!

I had ECS do a mail order tune for me after my header install. THIS IS A MUST FOR 99.00!! The difference is amazing in the shift points and the way the car runs. I highly recommend ECS for this tune. You will be very happy.

I had my A4 done by Doug at Carlisle 2 years ago. It was a totally different car than the one I drove up there, when he got done with it. He changed the shift points, re-set both fans to come on at 200*, and whatever other voodoo he does.

If you are considering having a mail order tune but just not sure about it…don’t wait any longer. This is the place to send it. I removed it just like Chris said, there is a little 7mm screw way up the inside of the fender next to the door he said makes it easy to remove without bracket breakage, and he was certainly right, also makes it a whole lot easier to see the rest of the 7mm screws holding everything in. It was out in less than 5 minutes. Just got it back and a total of 12 minutes from the time I sat down on the garage floor till I cranked it up. Done and what a difference. LT headers, X-pipe, CAI, and GHL Bullets round out my mods so far and this was the best small chunk of change I’ve spent ! Don’t delay, just do it, it’s worth it! The best mod I’ve made, especially for the buck. Big seat of the pants difference. Now, it runs like the sports car it truly is. I’m impressed. Especially with the A4 and the way it shifts now. Yes, you can really feel the difference.

I have an ECS m/o tune. I’m right about 5000′. My fuel milage has gone up about 1.5mpg now. No detonation, no SES. I specifically asked about high altitude applications and felt it was important. I always thought altitude played a part in computer adjustments because of a difference in atmospheric pressure.

 I finally got my PCM back in and tested everything out with the new headers. The car is a beast now! I was amazed at the difference (a buddy of mine was also). Anyone on the fence I would strongly suggest getting off and sending your PCM to ECS. They do great work. Thanks guys!!

Got my PCM back today, only sent it out Monday afternoon…wow that was a quick turnaround! Thanks Doug

Hey Everyone: I’d like to vouch for Doug’s tunes…! I actually just sent an email to Chris at ECS about my car. I had the chance to drive my friend’s H/C ’01 C5 recently. Great car and it’s fast, but my car actually pulls harder on the bottom end. Part of that is the movement of the torque curve with his cam, but I know a lot of it is this tune as well. My buddy also drove my car and said, “I wouldn’t do anything else to this car,” as he knew I was thinking of putting in a H/C setup. The car is really that fast. All I’ve done to date is Kooks LT’s, a Vararam and Doug’s tune. Great job, Doug…! Rossi, Pittsburgh PA

I drove a from Long Island to south Jersey, a little less then 3 hours to have Doug street tune my 99 FRC on a day that they are closed. Doug did and a great job with my car and I am very happy with the results. The customer service is outstanding. I give ECS two thumbs, Thank you ECS.

Sleep On This – ECS Builds A Sleeper Fifth-Gen With Over 1,000 RWHP And Perfect Street Manners

By Scott Parker

George Abad isn’t one for colorful lights, wild body kits, shiny rims, or any other means to draw your attention. Instead, he enjoys sneaking up on unsuspecting targets like a panther wrapped in a ’10 Camaro, which is why the 42-year-old Wholesale Grocer from Carlstadt, New Jersey, commissioned the crew at East Coast Supercharging to build him just such an animal. Once again ECS used one of its winning formulas to put together a streetable package worthy of its “Hardcore Edition” badges with over 1,000 rear-wheel horsepower. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, Abad’s Camaro accomplished this task using pump gas and methanol injection just as he plans to use on the many street miles he has ahead in the Jewel Red 2SS.

Street Wise – East Coast Supercharging Unleashes A 1,070-RWHP Package For The Hard-Core Street Enthusiast

By Michael Galimi
Photography by the Author and East Coast Supercharging

One thousand horsepower at the wheels—just saying it conveys a feeling of superiority. It’s even more menacing when that same Corvette makes that much power and still carries the label of street car. Don’t cry foul just yet, because thanks to modern technology, LS-powered Vettes are now capable of cracking the magical 1,000 rwhp barrier, cruising the streets, and gulping down premium pump fuel. If you don’t believe us, just call East Coast Supercharging (ECS) in Cream Ridge, New Jersey, and it will be more than happy to prove the point many times over. We got the lowdown on two C6 Z06 rides that were recently completed for a couple of customers who wanted a no-compromise combination that could take on all challengers. ECS tore into the cars and performed what is unofficially known as the Hardcore package.

Long Live The Goat – The Fastest IRS GTO In The Country And The Friends It Made Along The Way

By Justin Cesler
Photography by Scott Parker

Like most things in life, Frank Beck’s story starts off innocently enough, “I bought this car brand new and it was supposed to be a daily driver. Once we reached 3,000 miles we started taking it to the track, my wife would bring the drag radials in the back of her Range Rover and we would bracket race it. We were just excited to meet other GTO owners at the track who shared the same passion for drag racing and for the car. The first year, our personal best was a 13.40 at 116 mph.” And while some may be satisfied with that, Frank told us that the first year was just a tease, infecting him and his family with what would turn out to be an all-consuming GTO speed addiction. An addiction that would not only end up changing the “face of late-model GTO racing, but one that would build a career, a great group of friends, and a killer shop in the process.

Jay McCardle’s 8-Second ’97 Corvette – The Fastest C5 You’ve Probably Never Heard Of

by Justin Cesler
Photography by Mike Galimi

Unless you run with the right crowd in the northeastern part of the United States or happen to follow supercharged Corvette records very closely, you’ve probably never heard of a guy from Stewertstown, Pennsylvania, named Jay McCardle … although we’re pretty sure that is all about to change. You see, Jay isn’t one of those Internet superstars who thrives on making the latest and greatest whiz-bang post, nor is he one to go out of his way to promote his accomplishments just to hear people tell him how awesome he is. Truth be told, we’re not even sure Jay liked talking to us on the phone about his gorgeous Corvette (he was actually loading it in the trailer to go race while we were talking), but after seeing it run race after race, year after year with the wheels up and the e.t.’s falling, we just couldn’t let the story of his nasty C5 go untold for any longer.

A Little Boost, A Little Flow, And A Lot Of Power – East Coast Supercharging Adds Exhaust And Induction Parts To An ’09 ZR1 And Makes 722 RWHP

By Michael Galimi
Photography by the Author and East Coast Supercharging

IN 2009, Chevrolet unleashed the most powerful Corvette in the company’s storied history. The ZR1 package was revived, and with it came a nasty supercharged, LS-based engine dubbed the LS9. The ZR1 Vette is more than just a C6 with a 638 hp engine: GM went all-out with carbon-fiber components throughout and a massive Brembo braking system to slow it all down from the computer limited 205 mph top speed. It’s everything a Vette enthusiast needs to eliminate those pesky Vipers and Porsche 911s that prowl the local streets and tracks. The ZR1 is also credited for bashing the production-car record at the famous Nurburgring in Germany. The record was held by a Nissan GT-R, Which-allegedly-benefited from race-oriented tires and nonproduction rubber. But that’s another story for another day.

Jay M. – 1997 Corvette Coupe

Current Supercharged Corvette Low ET Record Holder!

Jays 1997 Corvette Coupe is an ECS Showpiece. This 1997 coupe has run a low et of 8.46@155mph, making it the world’s fastest supercharged Late Model Corvette. He has a host of ECS goodies, starting with a ECS forged stock cube LS2 (364ci) with Manley Forged Pistons, R&R billet rods, A Callies Crank, AFR Heads and topped with an ECS Novi 2500 Supercharger system pushing about 20lbs of boost! Supported by a host of other goodies such as a ECS Stage III fuel system, ECS HD Driveshaft, an ECS Powerglide Kit, ECS 15in Drag Spindles, ECS Half Shaft Safety Loops, ECS Spool Kit, ECS Manual Steering Rack, ECS Alternator Relocation Kit, ECS Manual Brake Conversion and A complete Pfadt Drag Suspension, Jay has gone round after round in competition to prove he’s the fastest of the fast.

Jay Makes somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000hp, and also holds a record for the lowest 60’ time at an amazing 1.20.

Artie C. – 2008 LS3 Automatic (A6)

{gallery count=1 width=300 height=225 counter=1}customer-cars/corvette/artie-c-2008ls3{/gallery}

Artie has a 2008 Corvette with a factory LS3 and a stock A6 transmission that has run a best ET of 10.00@138.30! Artie runs a proven, and relatively basic combination. An ECS Novi 1500 Supercharger System, ECS Alky Control System and a set of American Racing Headers.

Jim H. – 2003 Corvette Coupe

{gallery count=1 width=300 height=225 counter=1}customer-cars/corvette/jim-h-2003coupe{/gallery}

This is one bad ride! Jim is the owner of a 2003 Corvette with a fully built motor and A4 Trans that makes more than 840 HP – to the tire!!! That’s over 960 to the crank!!! All from a stock cube LS2 with forged Manley Pistons, the ECS Small Blower Camshaft, Manley Forged Rods and a stock crank. Jims car also has an ECS Stage II fuel system, American Racing Headers and a fully built 3.42 gear. Body mods include a Motor City Mold hood and a RPI rear spoiler, and the car was lowered on Pfadt Coil Over suspension with Chrome C6 Z replica wheels and body matched calipers.

Joel has a blacked out 2008 C6 Z06 with an ECS Paxton Novi 1500 and American Racing Headers with High Flow Cats! Joel monitors boost and fuel pressure with an ECS installed Autometer Dual gauge pod. This Z06 makes a restricted 615rwhp/615rwtq! This is one of the cleanest Zs you’ll see.
